Hello,
Ever since they came out with the new blind mice movie vault, I cannot figure out how to download movies. The protocol seems to have changed. I click on a movie and it brings up a send space page, just like it used to. I click on the link to download the movie from there and it brings me to a flash page. I can't figure it out from there. Anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? I tried emailing the mice about it a couple weeks ago, but have not heard back. I'm not sure if Dale is the person I was supposed to contact anyway. There was one time I saw a button, but it wasn't labeled and i had to play around with it to get it to start the download. The other times, it was simply a flash window with nothing in it. I want to figure this out for myself, as well as for a friend who is not techy at all. He's new to computers and to being blind. I want to help him with it because he's really excited about the movies and wants to download a bunch of them.

I've encountered this a couple of times. I think it is a sendspace issue rather than a blind mice one because they want you to download extra junk at the same time as downloading the movie. I suggest persevering with it-its only happened to me a couple of times. Once you click on the movie and the sendspace page is displayed press insert and F7 if you are using jaws and then press C till you hear click hear to start download. You probably knew that already but just in case you didn't its a good way of avoiding the clutter and advertisements that they have on there.
Sometimes I have to hit the link more than once. If you download more than one movie though, in a row that is, after the first download it gets better. Its only on the first download that I have those problems.
I believe the flash page is just an ad. You should be able to close that, as long as you close only that tab. make sure there is another sendspace tab open in your browser before doing that, though.
well i've not had that problem but i have noticed that the blind mice team don't seem to be very good in replying back as i was having an issue where i was trying to fill out an application form on the site as of wanting to become a new member but the problem was that in my country we don't have states, we have suburbs and i would leave that section blank but that was not accepting it.
whatever you do... do not ever ever ever click on the sendspace quickdownload program. I did by mistake and got a BRUTAL virus on my computer. took me nearly a week to get rid of it and make sure it was gone.

Just make sure you click on nothing, absolutely nothing, on the sendspace page, unless it explicitly says "click here to start download from sendspace". Not "click here" or "click here to find out more" or "quick download". That page is so full of junk that it's actually a bit sketchy, honestly, but if you play it safe and careful you'll be just fine.

Meglet, glad to hear I'm not the only one that happened too. Ok, well, not really since it means we both got a nasty, and I do mean truly nasty virus. I hate sendspace and wish they'd use another site but such is life.
Speaking of movie vault, does anybody know how to make the list advance when viewing new movies past the first page? It'll say view new movies so I'll look through them but there's no link to go to the next page, assuming one exists. I don't check it as often as I should and don't want to miss out on any new movies. Guess I should start checking more often. lol
As far as I know, DG, the page of "recently added" movies is only one page long so there's no real advance feature. If you're searching by alphabetical order or keyword then there will be links with page numbers at the bottom, but for the recently added page, it's just the ones they feature on the one page as far as I know.
I didn't actually get infected, thank God. Malware bytes saved my bacon there. Yay MWB! :)

Well, consider yourself lucky then because I did and it sucked in a major way. This was about 6 or 7 years ago so I had a Dell. It didn't survive the experience. lol
If they put a lot of movies up you'll get more than the one page, but I agree they should do it like post 9 cause while I try to check the page each day for new entries, not everyone has the time.
Yeah I have had those same issues in the past. I know.. I hate that site, too... but I actually use it to upload files to, because it works, and it's the most accessible that I've found out there to upload files onto so I'm figuring that's why they use it.. another issue is that sometimes, (not very often) but sometimes it'll say the certain movie name, and I'll download it, and then when I watch it, it's not the movie I downloaded... it does say on their page though that BlindMiceMart isn't responcible for the movies or/and the downloads or whatever lol... but yeah the BlindMice team does take a while to respond to requests, I requested a few movies a few years ago, and they just got around to uploading them like, last year!! so... but anyways I still enjoy browzing the different movies though.
